At Melbourne Nutrition Services, we specialise in personalised nutrition care for people with unique health and performance needs — from those preparing for or recovering after bariatric surgery, to bariathletes striving to fuel their training, to individuals managing lipoedema, and to endurance athletes pushing their limits.

We also provide nutrition advice for many common health concerns like diabetes, elevated cholesterol, IBS and the low FODMAP diet, managing adequate nutrition while on GLP-1 medications and menopause.

Bariatric Surgery

Emily is passionate about helping her bariatric clients feel confident with their nutrition before and after surgery. She provides clear, practical guidance on choosing the right vitamins and supplements, meeting protein goals, and building healthy habits for long-term success. With a focus on nurturing a healthy relationship with food, Emily makes navigating bariatric nutrition simple and sustainable. 

 
 

Bariathletes

Many post-bariatric patients discover (or re-discover) a love of exercise. When increased fitness leads to setting goals like finishing a half marathon or competing in an olympic lifting competition, moving the focus away from weight loss and towards a performance driven outcome is incredibly exciting and powerful! However, fuelling and hydrating with limited capacity can be challenging. With the right support, anything is possible!

 

 

Endurance Nutrition

If you’re preparing for an endurance event, no doubt you are spending many precious hours each week training hard. Why not make all that hard work pay off with a tailored nutrition plan for training and racing? Emily will assess your current diet, identify any nutritional gaps and develop a practical strategy that supports energy needs, enhances performance and promotes recovery. With her nutrition expertise and racing experience, Emily ensures you're fueling your body appropriately before, during, and after workouts which helps you to train harder, race smarter, and recover faster. Emily can also assist with a carb loading strategy and nutrition race plan for the big day.

 

 

Lipoedema

Nutrition strategies for lipoedema involve reducing inflammation, helping to prevent lipoedema progression, protecting and building muscle mass and weight management. Emily’s approach focuses on nurturing a healthy relationship with food, which may understandably have been damaged after many years of dieting and not feeling listened to. There is no right or wrong way for every person with lipoedema to eat - Emily will work with her patients to find the most appropriate way forward together.
